Thomas G. Anderson

  Thomas G. Anderson has more than 25 years experience in the retirement and financial services industries. Anderson has managed all aspects of a retirement organization - from strategic planning to sales and operations – and has served as lead negotiator on dozens of acquisitions.

In addition to his experience in managing and consulting with business in the financial services sector, Anderson has showcased his retirement technical subject matter expertise as a speaker at industry conferences and a consultant to financial professionals.

Anderson began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. In 1980, Anderson joined Universal Pensions Inc. (UPI) and played a key role in developing and growing the company into a major player in the retirement services industry. At UPI, he held a number of management positions including ten years as President and COO.

Anderson also served as Executive Vice President with BISYS (currently Ascensus) where he was responsible for managing a broad line-up of retirement products and services – overseeing every stage of the product from research and development to sales and fulfillment.

In addition, he has held the position of CEO or COO in a number of other non-retirement related companies. Anderson has served as a director for six private companies and over a dozen non-profit organizations. His professional memberships include the Minnesota Society of CPAs and the National Association of CPAs.

Anderson attended Oxford University before receiving his BA from the University of Minnesota.
