Arnold S. Johnson

President and CEO

Following ten years of experience in the insurance industry as a retirement plan specialist, Arnold S. Johnson formed Universal Pensions, Inc. (UPI) in 1975. Johnson served as CEO and Chairman of UPI until its sale in 2001.

Under Johnson’s leadership, UPI’s 500 employees provided products and services to more than 7,000 financial institutions. These institutions represented:
  • 88% of the top 100 banks
  • 47% of the top securities firms
  • 90% of the top 50 mutual fund companies
  • 40% of the top 100 insurance companies
Johnson sold UPI in 2001 to BISYS, a publicly-traded company, for $85 million.

Recognizing the opportunity presented by the 78 million baby boomers who need financial guidance and assistance as they face retirement or a life stage change, Johnson formed Integrated Retirement, a company dedicated to helping financial professionals deliver the financial products and advice that meets the needs of today’s mature workers and retirees.

Integrated Retirement aligns a breadth and depth of expertise representing more than 200 combined years in employee benefits consulting and retirement products and services delivery, making Integrated Retirement uniquely positioned to help financial professionals seize the opportunity to serve the mature worker and retiree with the products and services they need to navigate their retirement.
